This project took some time, I planned about a month or so to gather all the pictures from my family. I finished it up just in time to print and send - love when that happens!
I used Photoshop to cut out and edit all the people and then transferred them to a base background. Everyone here is my Grandma's blood line, sorted by age. I thought about including husbands and wives, but this picture would probably be double the size!
My Grandma lives in assisted living and all the members eat their meals together. I know this is a place where people talk about their families and share stories of their past. I wanted her to have something portable and easy to carry around so she could share her stories with reference - a coffee mug! So when she is talking about her family, she can point right to her mug! Perfect!
Because there are so many people, the image was pretty small on the mug, but I know she'll be able to tell who is who. I also had the image printed large so she'll be able to clearly see faces.
It was fun to see how the genes were handed down. Let me know if you start this project and I can give you some pointers for the Photoshop piece.
